The juxtaposition between the expressive glowing paint and the inner calm of what’s beneath the pigments, is what makes these portraits so strong yet vulnerable. Every single person I’ve photographed in this setting has expressed how relaxing the process was and that reflects in the images. The serenity in these images show a truth about the person that I have never reached with any other technique. The results are visually bold, yet highly personal.

The shoot takes about 45-60 minutes for a single person. It’s possible to book a crew session for several people, but I always photograph each person separately. Unless otherwise specified, the shoots will take place in a studio near Leuven.
Before the shoot I’ll explain the process and discuss the colours and look we’ll be going for. The shoot itself is a strangely relaxing experience as we build the picture one brush stroke at the time. It’s up to you wether you want to follow the progression or just relax while the transformation takes place. We use only the best skin-friendly body paint products that are easily washed off after the shoot. In case you are wondering, you don’t have to be naked for a glow shoot (although you can if you want to). We just think the GLOW pictures look best with bare shoulders. So you can wear a top that can leave your shoulders exposed or enjoy one of our fluffy black towels.
You’ll leave the studio with a smile on your face, a clear mind and probably some faint traces of glow paint on your face :-)
